Cookie policy: as of 5 October 2026, pubgsymbol.com sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics or advertising scripts and does not track you across sites. The site keeps a few small preferences in your browser storage, and counts article views on the server without a cookie.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember a choice. Browser storage, such as localStorage, does a similar job but stays on your device and is not sent to the server with each request.
What this site actually does
- No analytics or advertising cookies. We checked the home page on 5 October 2026: the only script loaded is the site’s own interface script, and it sets no cookie.
- Browser storage for favourites and preferences. Symbols you save and interface choices are kept in your browser storage. They are not sent to us and disappear when you clear site data.
- Article views without a cookie. To show a view count, the server keeps a one-day marker built from a one-way hash of your IP address. It is not a cookie, it cannot be turned back into your address and it expires after 24 hours.
- Technical cookies from the network layer. A security or content-delivery service in front of the site may set a cookie for bot protection or load balancing. Such cookies keep the site available and are not used to profile you.
Cookies and the newsletter box
The newsletter box does not use a cookie. If you submit your email address it is stored so we can send the newsletter; the privacy policy explains what is kept and how to ask for removal.
How to control cookies and stored data
Every modern browser lets you view, delete and block cookies and site data from its settings. Blocking them does not stop the generator from working, because the tool does not need a cookie. Private windows discard cookies and stored preferences when you close them.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics, advertising or a service that sets cookies, we will update this page before it goes live and say which cookies it sets. Questions can be sent through the contact page; the symbol library itself is at PUBGSymbol.
