EVERY SYMBOL, ONE TAP TO COPY
Tap any character to copy it, then paste it into the rename box. Each set below is one UTF-16 unit per glyph, which is the group PUBG Mobile and BGMI accept — emoji are two units and get refused far more often.
KAOMOJI FOR YOUR PROFILE
Faces built from brackets and letters, not emoji. Most run longer than a rename box will take, so these are for your bio, your clan description and your social profiles rather than the name field itself.
BROWSE BY TOPIC
Looking for a specific kind of name? The pubg and bgmi names collection groups name styles by theme, and the clan tag symbols page counts every symbol against the tag field. To see who writes this and how it is checked, read about pubgsymbol.

PUBG NAME STYLE, EXPLAINED
A PUBG name style is your in-game nickname rewritten with decorative characters — a frame such as ꧁꧂, a divider such as ༒ or ☬, and sometimes a Unicode font that turns plain letters into script or bold shapes. The generator above does the rewriting: type your name once, and every style it can build appears underneath with a copy button.
How to copy a style into PUBG Mobile
Tap a result to copy it, open PUBG Mobile or BGMI, go to your profile and open the rename field, then paste. Nothing installs and no account is needed. If the field refuses what you pasted, the cause is almost always a character it will not accept rather than the length — try a style from the sets above, which are single-unit glyphs.
Which characters the name field accepts
Decorative glyphs like ༒ ☬ ꧁ ꧂ ࿐ ᭄ each take one UTF-16 unit, while an emoji takes two because it is a surrogate pair. A field that counts units, or that validates one unit at a time, therefore accepts a fully decorated name and rejects a single smiley. That is why the copy sets on this page are built from glyphs and the kaomoji shelf is labelled for profiles instead.
Name ideas that are not just decoration
The nickname grid lower down wraps real words in different frames so you can see how a style reads before you spend anything on it. Symmetrical frames suit short names, a single divider suits longer ones, and a clan-ready name usually keeps the decoration light so the tag beside it stays readable.
What changing your name costs
Renaming needs a Rename Card and you can use one per day; the first card is granted free at Level 10. Because a card is not refundable, it is worth pasting a style into the field and reading it before you confirm.
Can a stylish name get you banned?
Decoration itself is not what gets punished — what the name says is. An inappropriate nickname or clan name carries a 90-day penalty on BGMI, against a 30-day maximum on international PUBG Mobile, and PUBG Mobile can also rename an offending account automatically with no warning. Symbols are safe; slurs wrapped in symbols are not.
How long can a PUBG name be?
You will find "14 characters" repeated across the web, and we are not going to print it as a fact, because KRAFTON has never published a number. What is true is that decoration counts toward whatever the real limit is: a frame plus two dividers can push a short name past it. Paste, look, and shorten the decoration rather than the name.
Where a decorated name is accepted
We paste the same three test strings into each field and record what comes back. Last run: September 2026.
| Where | Glyphs (༒ ☬ ꧁꧂) | Emoji | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| PUBG Mobile rename field | Accepted | Usually refused | Needs a Rename Card; an offending name can be changed for you with no warning |
| BGMI rename field | Accepted | Usually refused | An inappropriate nickname or clan name carries a 90-day penalty |
| Clan / crew name | Accepted, keep it short | Usually refused | Heavy framing crowds the tag shown next to every member |
| Profile bio and social posts | Accepted | Accepted | This is where the kaomoji shelf belongs — no unit limit to fight |
"Usually refused" is what we measured, not a rule anyone published. Fields change between builds, so treat the row as a starting point and test before you spend a card.
Questions people ask
- Why is my PUBG name showing empty boxes on some phones?
- A box means that device's font has no drawing for the character. The text itself is intact and players on other phones may see it correctly — it is a rendering gap, not a broken name. Pick a glyph from the more common sets above if you would rather not risk it.
- What is the difference between a PUBG name, an ID and a clan tag?
- The name is the nickname you style and change with a Rename Card. The ID is a fixed number that identifies the account and cannot be decorated. The clan tag is a separate short string shown beside every member, so decoration there costs room for all of them.
- Do stylish names work in PUBG Mobile Lite?
- The same single-unit glyphs generally paste in, because it is the same class of character. Lite runs its own builds, so a set that works one month can behave differently the next — paste and read the field before confirming.
- Does a stylish name cost anything?
- The styles here are free. Applying one costs a Rename Card, usable once per day, and the first card is granted free at Level 10. The card is what is not refundable, which is why it is worth reading the pasted name first.
